2-16 Channel Measurement System

Description

Apollo Lite by SINUS Messtechnik GmbH

Low cost Multi-Channel Measurement Box

The low-cost Apollo_lite box provides 2-16 measuring channels and additional trigger/tacho channels using a USB hard drive connected to a tablet, laptop or PC. The measurement electronics are packaged in a robust, high-quality aluminium case. Ultra-low power consumption allows operation even with a tablet PC. Multiple Apollo_light devices can be synchronised together for sample-synchronous operation with individually adjustable sample rates for each channel.

The Apollo_Lite may be supplied with either 2 or 4 BNC inputs, or 2 or 4 LEMO7 inputs, or 8xLEMO NIM CAMAC inputs. Additional low-sample-rate channels(x8) and 2 tacho or trigger channels are also available. The Apollo_Box may also be used to provided additional dynamic channels to a Soundbook MK2.

Multiple Apollo_lite devices can be synchronised for sample-synchronous operation using a flat ribbon cable. The synchronisation offers sample synchronicity with less than 0.5° phase difference at up to 20 kHz.

The new powerful Apollo filter processor allows high-precision real-time analysis with a large number of channels. The 24-bit ADCs safeguard a high signal bandwidth with a linearity range >110dB (typical) complying with DIN 61672, crosstalk <80dB, phase error <0.01°@20kHz and a sample rate of up to 204.8kHz (switchable per channel).

The Apollo_Lite supports ICP/IEPE sensors, as well as sensors requiring supply polarization voltages of 20V, 63V and 200V. The additional voltages of 20V and 63V cause an up-shift of the dynamic range by 20dB and 10dB relative to a polarization voltage of 200V. This eliminates the need for special microphones for high sound pressure levels, provided that the microphone is rated for high sound pressure levels.

The extensive range of SAMURAI software options makes the Apollo_Lite a low cost universal measuring instrument for many applications in the field of sound and vibration measurements and analysis.

The SAMURAI software includes functions for time signal, sound level meter, 1/3 or 1/1 octave bands, FFTs and reverberation time. All values are calculated in real time for each channel. Data acquisition and real-time analysis, as well as the post-processing of measured values without the need for data format modification due to the use of different software applications can be performed using the Apollo Lite and SAMURAI software.

Software

  • SINUS SAMURAI real-time noise and vibration data measurement and analysis.
  • Alternatively, SINUS MATLAB  SMT – Measurement toolboxes enable control and analysis of data of the Apollo Lite using MATLAB.

Other software for analysis and report preparation include:

  • Noise Works for Windows – post processing of data and report presentation.
  • ME’Scope VES – Import of measurement data from SINUS Multi-channel data acquisition systems for detailed experimental modal analysis and response shapes
