Description

Soundbook by SINUS Messtechnik GmbH

Vibration Measurement + Analysis

Soundbook_MK2 is the second generation SINUS universal multi-channel measurement system for sound and vibration measurements as well as general engineering measurements. It is based on the innovative Apollo platform. The high-performance 24-bit ADCs and the advanced Apollo filter processor combine highest precision, a large number of channels and a high signal bandwidth in one device.

The robust Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 serves as base equipment for the Soundbook_MK2 .

The Soundbook work to be conducted virtually everywhere, in the office, in the factory and in the field. Soundbook reliably withstands heat, cold, rain, dust, vibration and hard impacts. With a weight of only 3 kilograms, a robust magnesium case, a rotatable, bright TFT display, low power consumption, various  and multiple sensor interfaces, Soundbook combines the performance of a high-quality Class 1 instrument with the capabilities of a PC. Data may be recorded with 2/4/8/16/24 or 32 measuring channels with LEMO7 or BNC input connectors to match the application requirements.

Soundbook is especially well suited for:

  • Occupational safety and environmental protection
  • Engineering services
  • Quality assurance
  • Research and development
  • Sound level measurements
  • Frequency analysis
  • Signal recording
  • Human vibration measurements
  • Pass-by noise measurements
  • Building acoustics
  • Machinery vibration measurements
  • Modal analysis
  • Order analysis
  • Structural analysis

Features

The Soundbook_MK2 complies with IEC 61672-1 Class 1 and is calibratable with up to 40 measuring channels.

Splash water and dust protected design enables operations under harsh environmental conditions

The Soundbook has a very bright LCD display which may be used as a notebook or as a tablet-PC. The Panasonic TransflectivePlus display technology ensures perfect readability even in direct sunlight.

The Soundbook has high performance while maintaining low power consumption. Data processing may be conducted anywhere.

Data acquisition and real-time data analysis may be conducted with all channels at full band-width for days.

Soundbook with the standard SAMURAI software makes the Soundbook a virtual measuring instrument for time signal , sound level meter, 1/3 or 1/1 octave, FFT analysis and reverberation analyser. All values are calculated in real-time and for each channel SAMURAI allows data acquisition and real-time analysis, as well as post-processing of measured values without the need for data format modification for analysis.

All SAMURAI software options may all be used with the Sounsbook, refer to SINUS SAMURAI Software options on this website.

The Soundbok may also be managed using MATLAB or LABVIEW using the SINUS SMT Toolboxes.

The number of channels may be expanded to up to 40 channel by the addition of Soundbook_Expander and the Apollo_Sync_Hub

Up to 8 slow process signals with 24bit DC…200Hz, external triggering, or speed measurements with 2 tacho channels, as well as connection to GPS is possible with the SINUS Soundbook.

The Soundbook may be connected to ICP/IEPE sensors and also provides sensor polarization ovltages of 20V, 63V and 200V.

Sounbook_MK2 offers wired sample synchronization with less than 0.5° phase difference at to 80kHz. Higly precise GPS pulse synchronization with an accuracy of less than 25ns allows data synchronization over a network of measuring station that are located kms apart.

The Soundbook interfaces seamlessly with other software packages, such as MATLAB, LABVIEW Noise Works for Windows, ARTeMIS and MEScope modal software.
